At Mid Coast Vision an eye examination will include checking your vision and if necessary we will write a prescription for glasses. Your eyes will be checked for diseases such as cataracts, glaucoma and macular degeneration using an array of special instruments. Your eyes may be dilated with drops in order to give us the best view of the back of your eye.

If you are a good candidate for contact lenses, we will make a second appointment for a contact lense fitting.The fitting involves taking measurements of you cornea, education and instructions on the care and use of contact lenses.
